Our HW Exhibits team of museum specialists, writers, designers, and illustrators are dedicated to creating customized exhibits founded on accurate and engaging content, multisensory experiences, and beautiful designs.
Carol Poplin is based in our Charleston, SC, office where she serves as Director of the HW Exhibits. Carol holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Archaeology from the University of Calgary, and a Master of Arts degree in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester, England. She joined Brockington and Associates in 1988 and has over 30 years of experience working in the cultural resource management industry. As the director of HW Exhibit, Carol combines her knowledge of archaeology and material culture, her skills as a writer, and her training in museum interpretation and design to develop products and programs for interpreting and presenting heritage-based subjects to the public including museum exhibits, outdoor panels, web sites, video documentaries, and traveling exhibits.
Andrew Steever is a native of Charlotte, NC. After spending eight years in the film and television industry in New York City, Andrew attended Pratt Institute’s Master’s program in Industrial Design where his focus was furniture and exhibit design. After moving to Charleston in 2010, Andrew worked as a designer and project manager for Technical Theater Solutions where he led that company’s exhibit related projects. In April 2013, he launched Squarepoint Design as an exhibit and furniture design firm. Andrew’s work can be found in Historic Charleston Foundation’s historic homes, at the College of Charleston’s Natural History Museum and Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, and at The Charleston Museum. In the Spring of 2017, Andrew merged his thriving business with HW Exhibits and joined our team as our Technical Director.
Jordan Sandlin is a project manager based in our Charleston, SC office. Originally from North Alabama, she spent most summers working on archaeological sites across the South as a volunteer for the Alabama Museum of Natural History’s Summer Expedition. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the University of Alabama and has worked in various mediums including printmaking, photography, painting, and fiber art. She started her career as a display artist, where she built large scale installation art, and has since worked in marketing, brand management, and content creation. A jill-of-all-trades, she brings years of hands-on experience to HW Exhibits.
Tisha Bell studied graphic design at the Art Institute of Charleston and web design at Trident Technical College. Her background is in fine art and illustration. She acquired a wide range of design skills working in advertising, email marketing, and web/mobile app development. Tisha is a versatile, motivated designer with a well-rounded suite of skills that she uses to bring ideas and stories to life in any medium — print, video, and on the web.
Erika Bilbo Fox is a designer based in our Charleston, SC office. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Auburn University. Her experience includes collaborating with clients and fabricators across the country to bring interpretive exhibit concepts, large-scale branded environments, donor recognition displays, and wayfinding and signage systems to life. As a member of HW Exhibits, Erika specializes in creating compelling experiential design solutions in the built environment. She is driven to develop intelligent design that communicates a memorable story and experience to its audience.
Marissa Udeme is a designer based in Charleston, SC. She obtained her BFA from University of Central Oklahoma, majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Illustration. Her experience focuses on collaborating with clients to create cohesive brand identities and systems. She loves implementing custom details into her work and discovering meaningful solutions through research.
