HW Exhibits worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District to produce a webpage that outlines the unique history of Rough River Dam State Resort Park, a Kentucky State Park that opened during the boom of recreational park travel in the state of Kentucky in 1962. The park is made possible because of its proximity to the Rough River Dam, creating a reservoir known as Rough River Lake. The USACE Louisville District and the Commonwealth of Kentucky partner together to manage Rough River Lake’s wildlife, fishing, and recreation. Our website design features a continuous scrolling postcard-inspired theme. Topics are broken up by section and statistics are highlighted with historic images and a timeline of Rough River Dam State Resort Park’s development through time.
