The Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina is one of only two locations for Marine training in the United States. Parris Island Museum (PIM) presents a broad overview of the history of the United States Marine Corps and the military operations in which they have served. HWE has completed four projects for Parris Island Museum including ambient audio, exhibits, and touch screen interactives.

Recently, we helped PIM add touchscreen interactives to their permanent galleries. We developed and designed a unit about the US Marine Corps during the American Revolution that included a knowledge test that cadets must take and pass. We collaborated with staff to create and design an interactive map about Vietnam War operations and battles. Users choose specific engagements, see where they took place, and learn about what happened with scrollable text and touchscreen hotspots on map locations.
